Job Title: Engineering Assessor (Apprentices)

Pension: Standard Professional Pension Scheme Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Contract: Permanent

A premier training provider is seeking an Apprenticeship Coach to support and develop engineering apprentices across the Wiltshire and Dorset region through a blend of face-to-face workshop visits and virtual delivery.

The Role:

• Coach, mentor, and monitor apprentices working toward the Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard.

• Conduct regular workplace observations, technical assessments, and formal progress reviews.

• Manage a dedicated apprentice caseload, providing constructive feedback and preparing apprentices for Gateway.

• Maintain accurate compliance records across MIS and e-portfolio learning systems.

• Build strong relationships with workplace line managers and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Level 2 or higher qualification in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical Maintainer focus).

• Recognized teaching, training, assessor, or mentoring qualification.

• Proven experience delivering or supporting apprenticeship training programmes and managing caseloads.

• Strong digital skills for virtual delivery and detailed action planning.

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to regional apprentice sites.

• Experience working with military or defense-sector apprentices is highly desirable.
