Engineering / Maintenance Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor based in South Bedfordshire for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. 

Summary of the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor role 

Salary: £55,000 
Location: South Bedfordshire 
Type of Contract: Permanent  
Hours: Monday – Friday  

Responsibilities of the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor

• Direct and monitor all activities relating to manufacturing operations, equipment and processes
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the site engineering team
• Prepare RFE’s/Capex’s for engineering tools and equipment
• Oversee design and development of equipment
• Manage critical spares
• Interview, train, develop and evaluate performance of engineering associates
• Manage total project activities with planned schedule for timely completion
• Recommend replacement of existing equipment
• Manage and present design proposals
• Establish priorities to ensure all machinery, equipment and facilities are in good, safe working condition

Requirements for a successful Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor

• Experience in supervision and/or project leadership
• Time-served Electrical/Mechanical engineer
• Excellent Electrical/mechanical aptitude
• Good knowledge of health and safety
• Flexible and pro-active
• Strong organisational skills and ability to deal with multiple priorities
• Good communication skills
• Good inter-personal and team working skills
• Experience of engineering disciplines
• IT literate
• Experience with CAD software
