Engineering Manager in Barton upon Humber, North Lincolnshire

Wren are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Monday - Friday 7am - 3.30pm

Starting Salary - £54,000 plus £1,500 quarterly bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the engineering and maintenance team.
• Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
• Minimise downtime by working closely with production and operational teams.
• Manage engineering projects, repairs, shutdowns, and site improvements.
• Control departmental budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across plant, equipment, and facilities.

About You

• Proven Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager experience within manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and automated systems.
• Knowledge of PPM scheduling and maintenance planning.
• Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
• HNC/HND qualification in an Engineering discipline.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office.
