Excellent opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join an innovative technology company, developing innovative products that are helping protect wildlife around the world.

You'll work closely with senior leadership, overseeing engineering projects from concept through to production while shaping the future direction of both the engineering team and product development function. The company are renowned as pioneers within their niche industry; they producing highly technical electro-mechanical technology for the marine industry. They pride themselves on a great culture and providing a massive amount of technical support for new staff. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an Engineering Manager to lead and develop their talented multidisciplinary engineering team.

In this role, you'll provide both technical and people leadership across electronics, mechanical and firmware engineering. You'll oversee multiple product development projects, improve engineering processes and quality standards, manage resources and budgets, and work closely with marine biologists, operations and commercial teams to deliver innovative products from concept through to manufacture. You'll also play a key role in mentoring engineers, recruiting new talent and supporting the continued growth of the engineering function.

THE ROLE:
*Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
*Manage engineering projects from concept through to production.
*Drive new product development, prototyping, testing and manufacturing support.
*Improve engineering processes, documentation and quality standards.
*Manage engineering resources, budgets and external suppliers.
*Collaborate across engineering, operations, commercial teams and marine scientists.

THE PERSON:
*Engineering Manager or Technical Team Leader with leadership experience.
*Strong background in mechanical, electronic or product engineering.
*Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary engineering projects.
*Excellent leadership and communication skills.
*Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
*Marine, environmental or rugged product experience would be advantageous.
