As an Engineering Supervisor (Electrical Bias), you will lead a team of 8 maintenance engineers within a busy recycling facility, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, drive continuous improvement activities, and maximise plant uptime across a 4-on-4-off day shift pattern.

Description

  • Lead and supervise a team of 8 maintenance engineers.
  • Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown activities.
  • Ensure maximum plant availability and equipment reliability.
  • Provide hands-on electrical fault finding and technical support.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with site Health & Safety procedures.
  • Monitor engineering KPIs and maintenance performance.
  • Manage contractors and specialist service providers on site.
  • Support project work, installations, and equipment upgrades.
  • Work closely with operations to optimise production performance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, appraisals, and training activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records through the CMMS system.

Profile

A successful Engineering Supervisor should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within engineering and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
