The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive, technically brilliant Engineering Supervisor to take operational leadership of a premier commercial property in Central London.

This role is a critical link in our management chain. Key Responsibilities

Technical Team & Operational Leadership

  • Team Supervision: Direct, support, and mentor a resident team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers, managing daily Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive workloads.

  • Engineering Standards: Drive our signature culture of engineering excellence on-site, ensuring all plant rooms, tools, and technical spaces are kept in an immaculate, showroom condition.

  • Subcontractor Management: Act as the primary on-site authority for specialist supply chain vendors, reviewing RAMS and issuing Permits to Work.

Compliance & Technical Administration

  • Statutory Compliance: Maintain the site's technical logbooks (including Water Hygiene/L8, Emergency Lighting, and Fire Safety systems) to a flawless, audit-ready standard.

  • CAFM Management: Manage the allocation, tracking, and closure of all maintenance tasks via our digital CAFM platform.

  • Health & Safety: Govern all Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) across the asset, ensuring risk assessments are robust and rigorously followed.

Client & Commercial Diplomacy

  • Client Relations: Build close, trusted relationships with the building management team and corporate tenant representatives, acting as the primary point of escalation for technical issues.

  • Extra Works & Quotes: Proactively identify asset lifecycle risks and system optimisations, helping to scope and price small project works and improvements.

What We Are Looking For

We want to hear from passionate, well-presented engineers who take genuine pride in the quality of their work and want to lead by example.

Technical Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Electrical (or equivalent)

  • Experience: A proven track record as a Lead Engineer, Shift Leader, or Technical Supervisor within a high-spec, client-facing London commercial office or corporate landlord environment.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of building services statutory compliance, SFG20 framework, and ACoP L8 water hygiene regulations.

Professional Attributes:

  • Leadership Style: A "lead from the front" supervisor who is happy to get on the tools to support their team through complex fault-finding.

  • Communication: Polished communication skills with the ability to discuss technical engineering issues clearly with non-technical clients.
