Pro-Resourcing Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of our client.
Our client, an innovator in the design and manufacture of ventilation and air-movement products, is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to join their team.
The position is full time, permanent.
Salary: Up to £50,000.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a multi disciplined team through R&D, design and production engineering.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, structure and accountability.
- Lead engineering projects with clear strategic direction and effective resource planning.
- Ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Monitor team performance and support professional development.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and succession planning for the engineering team.
Product Design & Development
- Manage the full product life cycle from concept and prototyping to testing, certification, and manufacturing handover.
- Ensure products comply with ventilation, energy efficiency, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with product management to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.
Technical & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry regulations, building regulations and standards, and environmental and sustainability directives.
- Oversee product testing, validation, and certification.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, service providers, testing labs, and certification bodies.
Requirements
- Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
- 6+ years’ engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Understanding of relevant manufacturing standards and regulations.
- Experience with CAD - SolidWorks.
- Strong project management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
- Background in ventilation, HVAC, air handling, or related electromechanical systems.
- Experience with CFD analysis, noise reduction techniques, or thermal performance modelling.
