TeacherActive is proud to be working with a highly regarded further education provider in Birmingham that is expanding its English department ahead of the new academic year. Due to increased student enrolment, there are multiple opportunities available for dedicated English Lecturers to join a supportive teaching team committed to helping learners build confidence, improve attainment and progress towards their future careers or higher education.

The provider is looking to appoint English Lecturers on a long-term temporary basis from September. The successful English Lecturer will be responsible for delivering engaging GCSE English resit lessons to post-16 learners, planning and assessing high-quality learning, tracking student progress and creating an inclusive classroom environment that enables every learner to succeed. These positions are expected to be filled quickly, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced English Lecturers seeking their next role.

The successful English Lecturer will have:

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent)

• A degree or relevant qualification in English or a related subject

• Previous experience delivering GCSE English, including GCSE resit programmes

• Experience teaching within a Further Education or post-16 environment

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A genuine passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential
