We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and talented English Teacher to join our successful and supportive English Department at our thriving secondary school in Havering.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner, we welcome your application.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons that motivate and challenge students.
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with the national curriculum.
- Foster excellent classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an outstanding English curriculum.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and pastoral support.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has a degree in English or a related subject.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature.
- Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
- Is committed to inclusive education and ensuring every student reaches their potential.
- Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Is committed to continuous professional development.
