Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-time, Long-term (with the potential to become permanent)
Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) for long-term placements or competitive daily rates for daily supply.

Academics is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Bradford. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students and help them develop a love of English Language and Literature.

Whether you are an experienced teacher seeking your next challenge or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable classroom experience, we have opportunities to suit you.

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Differentiate learning to support pupils of all abilities.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve student outcomes.
• Attend departmental meetings and parents' evenings for long-term roles.

To be considered, you will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English within UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for education.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
