Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting an English Teacher to work on a temporary, ongoing supply basis across a variety of supportive secondary schools throughout Doncaster.

This English Teacher opportunity offers flexibility whilst allowing you to teach your specialist subject across different school environments in Doncaster. Where subject-specific English Teacher roles are not available, there may also be opportunities to undertake general cover work within secondary schools across the Doncaster area.

Position: English Teacher
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £140 - £195 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as an English Teacher in Doncaster, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils to develop their reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills.

The English Teacher role in Doncaster is suitable for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers seeking flexible, temporary and ongoing opportunities. You may work within a range of schools throughout Doncaster, with the opportunity to take on general secondary cover assignments where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Adapt learning to meet the needs of different pupils
• Support pupils' progress and confidence in English
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Assess learning and provide feedback where required
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
• Previous experience teaching English or relevant teaching experience
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
