English Teacher – Inspire a Love of Language and Literature

Engage Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop confidence in reading, writing and communication while fostering a lifelong appreciation for English.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and well-planned English Language and English Literature lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their potential.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high-quality English curriculum.
• Maintain excellent classroom management and high expectations for behaviour and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for English and a commitment to raising student attainment.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
