English Teacher

Grade A Recruitment are working with a school in Peterborough who are looking to appoint a qualified English Teacher to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and knowledgeable English Teacher to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The successful candidate must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be confident teaching English through to A Level.

The school can accommodate either an immediate start or a September 2026 start, with the preference for a handover period to take place during July 2026 where possible.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons up to A Level
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress
• Mark work in line with school policies
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Support students in achieving their academic potential

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Ability to teach English up to A Level
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Passion for English and student achievement
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
