Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and marking lessons in line with school expectations.
- Delivering high-quality, purposeful and engaging English lessons.
- Differentiating and tailoring lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and other additional needs.
- Working collaboratively within the English department to support the continued success and development of the department.
- Teaching English up to GCSE level, with flexibility to teach A Level where required.
- English ECTs or fully qualified English Teachers.
- Experience teaching English within UK secondary school classrooms.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum.
- Experience teaching GCSE English and familiarity with relevant examination boards.
- A calm, professional and engaging classroom presence.
- Clear and confident communication skills.
- Flexibility, reliability and a genuine passion for supporting student progress.
