The Role

• Teaching English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Planning and delivering engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons
• Inspiring students to develop confidence in reading, writing, communication, and critical analysis
• Supporting students to achieve their academic potential and prepare for GCSE examinations
• Assessing, monitoring, and providing constructive feedback to support student progress
• Participating in departmental planning, assessments, parents' evenings, and wider school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Has experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Has a passion for English Language and Literature and inspiring young people
• Is committed to creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
• Available from September 2026
