We are partnering with a thriving and inclusive secondary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint an inspiring English Teacher for a September 2026 start. This full-time opportunity is available on either a contract or permanent basis and is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) eager to begin or continue their teaching journey in a supportive school community.

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and well-planned English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with Key Stage 5 teaching available for suitable candidates)

• Foster a love of reading through a broad range of classic and contemporary literature

• Develop students' writing, analytical, and communication skills through creative and challenging lessons

• Differentiate learning to ensure every student can achieve their potential, including those with SEND and EAL needs

• Create a positive classroom environment where curiosity, discussion, and independent thinking can flourish

• Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback to drive achievement

• Play an active role within the English department and contribute to enrichment opportunities and the wider life of the school

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

• Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for English Language and Literature

• Delivers engaging lessons that motivate and challenge students of all abilities

• Has strong classroom management skills and consistently high expectations

• Enjoys collaborating with colleagues and is committed to continuous professional development

• Is an ECT or experienced teacher looking to make a positive impact in a supportive school

• A full-time English teaching position within a welcoming Northampton secondary school
