Location: Dartford, Kent
Salary: £13.85 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm | Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm

A leading global manufacturer within the fire safety industry is seeking an Entry-Level Configurator Developer to join its growing IT team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior developer looking to build a career in ERP development and manufacturing software. Full training will be provided on the ERP system, making this an ideal role for someone with a solid programming foundation and a willingness to learn.
The Role
You will support the development, maintenance and improvement of product configurators within the ERP system, working alongside experienced developers on a variety of business-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of configurators.
- Modify existing configurator logic to meet business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve configurator issues.
- Write and maintain C# code.
- Develop and maintain LINQ queries.
- Test configurators before deployment.
- Support senior developers with new functionality and enhancements.
- Document development work and follow coding standards.
Essential Skills
- Basic knowledge of C#.
- Basic understanding of LINQ.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of programming fundamentals, including variables, loops, conditional statements, methods and classes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- A genuine desire to learn and develop technical skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with .NET.
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Entity Framework.
- Exposure to ERP systems or manufacturing software would be advantageous but is not essential.
Experience
- Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Development or a related discipline.
- Commercial programming experience is desirable but not essential.
- Recent graduates and junior developers are encouraged to apply.
