Environmental Advisor | Major Energy Infrastructure Project | North of Inverness | Outside IR35
Environmental Advisor 6-Month Contract North of Inverness, Scottish Highlands Mid-September Start £500-£550 per day Outside IR35
We are currently recruiting for several Environmental Advisors to support a major energy infrastructure project in the Scottish Highlands.
Working as part of a specialist environmental team, you will play a key role in supporting environmental compliance, promoting best practice and ensuring the successful delivery of a nationally important construction project.
The Role
You will work alongside project teams, environmental specialists and stakeholders to help manage environmental risks, support compliance activities and drive continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote environmental best practice across the project
- Conduct site inspections and environmental audits
- Monitor compliance with environmental legislation and project requirements
- Support environmental incident investigations
- Collect, analyse and report environmental performance data
- Assist with environmental and sustainability initiatives
- Provide environmental advice to project teams
- Identify environmental risks and recommend controls
- Support environmental permitting, licensing and consent activities
- Maintain environmental records and compliance documentation
About You
We are looking for confident Environmental Advisors who can engage effectively with project teams and clients while maintaining strong compliance standards.
Essential Experience
- Previous Environmental Advisor experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities or energy projects
- Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience Or Understanding Of
- Ecological mitigation
- Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)
- Water management and pollution prevention
- Waste management
- Statutory nuisance
- Contaminated land
- Environmental consents and licensing
- Planning discharge processes and DCO/TCPA requirements
- ISO 14001 environmental management systems
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline
- Associate ISEP membership or working towards Practitioner level desirable
