With a multidisciplinary team of environmental specialists, the company provides end-to-end support from site investigation and assessment through to remediation and project delivery. Due to continued growth within its Environmental Claims Division, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Consultant to join the team and work on a varied portfolio of projects across Northern Ireland.
Your new role
As Environmental Consultant, you will manage a varied workload of site investigations and environmental remediation activities across domestic properties. You will collect and interpret field data, prepare clear technical reports, scope remedial works and coordinate the people, plant and materials required for delivery. You will also engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders throughout each assignment.
What you'll be doing:
* Carry out on-site surveys of domestic properties, including vapour, soil and groundwater sampling.
* Compile and interpret field and analytical data.
* Prepare reports, tables and figures to communicate findings clearly.
* Scope remedial works and prepare associated costings.
* Plan and schedule labour, plant and materials for investigation and remediation works.
* Supervise staff and subcontractors carrying out works on domestic properties.
* Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholder
What you'll need to succeed
At least two years' experience in environmental services or consultancy, or a comparable level of transferable experience from a related sector such as building, construction or geotechnical work.
* A relevant Degree or HND in Environmental Science, Geology, Construction, Building or Building Surveying, or Engineering is preferred but not essential.
* A full, clean UK driving licence.
* Strong organisation, time management and multitasking skills, with the initiative to work independently or as part of a team.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence when dealing with clients and policyholders.
* Good analytical and numerical ability, with close attention to detail.
* Competence in MS software,CAD or similar software would be beneficial.
