Summary
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist to join on a part-time basis, supporting environmental compliance and reporting at Seascale, Cumbria. This role is ideal for a qualified professional seeking flexible hours while applying their expertise in environmental legislation, sustainability and waste management practices. You’ll play a key role in ensuring standards are upheld and performance continually improves.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit monthly environmental performance reports
- Produce and maintain waste management reports, including compliance records
- Monitor environmental performance and identify continual improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate environmental records and documentation
- Provide environmental advice and support to operational teams as required
- Assist with environmental audits and inspections
- Identify and report environmental risks, recommending corrective actions
- Support the implementation of environmental management initiatives and best practices
- Degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and waste management practices
- Proven experience preparing environmental and waste reports
- Excellent analytical, organisational and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
