Your New Role
As Employee Relations Manager, you will act as a trusted adviser to leaders and HR colleagues, providing expert guidance on complex people matters and helping to foster a fair, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.You'll play a pivotal role in supporting employee relations activity across the business, balancing commercial priorities with employee wellbeing and legal compliance.Responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the lead specialist for employee relations matters across the organisation.
- Advising managers and senior stakeholders on complex and sensitive workplace issues.
- Supporting disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, and workplace investigation processes.
- Building management capability through coaching, training, and practical guidance.
- Partnering with HR teams to deliver consistent and effective people solutions.
- Contributing to organisational change programmes, consultations, and business transformation projects.
- Reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and employee relations frameworks.
- Analysing trends and identifying opportunities to reduce risk and improve employee engagement.
- Supporting the resolution of workplace challenges through a pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
- Driving best practice across employee relations and people management processes.
What You'll Need to Succeed
We're keen to speak with Employee Relations professionals who combine strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.You will ideally offer:
- Experience in Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, or specialist HR advisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of UK employment legislation and employee relations best practice.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex and sensitive employee relations matters.
- Excellent judgement and the ability to balance risk, compliance, and commercial objectives.
- Strong coaching and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting organisational change and culture initiatives.
- The confidence to challenge, influence, and advise senior stakeholders when required.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience would be advantageous.
