Are you experienced in ERP implementation, business analysis or application support? An established UK ERP software vendor is looking for a Business Analyst to help shape new features and improvements to its core ERP product.
You'll work directly with customers and developers, taking requirements from the initial conversation through to a detailed specification the development team can build from. You'll stay involved throughout development, answering questions and checking that the finished changes meet the original requirements.
What you'll do
Gather requirements and map business processes across ERP modules such as finance, purchasing, stock control, manufacturing and production planning.
Write functional specifications covering workflows, business rules, screen behaviour, data requirements and exceptions.
Work with developers on new features, improvements to existing functionality and fixes for live software issues.
Assess whether a requirement can be met through existing functionality, needs a customer-specific change or could benefit other customers as a core product enhancement.
Review completed changes against the specification and the customer's original requirements.
What you'll bring
Experience with ERP software in business analysis, implementation, application support or a similar role.
Experience gathering requirements and writing detailed specifications that developers can follow.
The ability to understand how customers use ERP in practice and ask the questions that uncover gaps and exceptions.
An interest in how software is designed. Familiarity with UI design, databases or SQL would be useful.
If you're an ERP implementation consultant looking for less client travel and more involvement in product development, this is an opportunity to use your knowledge of customer processes to improve the software itself.
Apply with your CV, highlighting the ERP systems and modules you've worked with and any examples of requirements you've taken through to development.
Application opens at the source listing. Free for jobseekers.
