ERPNext / Implementation Consultant

Avanti Recruitment

We are working with a small engineering and technology company in Ely that is looking for an ERPNext specialist to take ownership of a completely greenfield implementation.

The business is developing advanced industrial measurement technology and is currently at an early prototype stage. As the company grows, they are looking to introduce ERPNext as the central system for managing manufacturing, stock, procurement, engineering processes, HR and wider business operations.

This is not a support-only position. They are looking for someone who has previously been involved in implementing ERPNext into a live business and is comfortable taking ownership of the system from initial setup through to go-live and ongoing development.

What you’ll be doing

You will take responsibility for the ERPNext environment end to end, including:

  • Implementing and configuring ERPNext from scratch
  • Customising ERPNext/Frappe around internal business processes
  • Developing custom functionality using Python/Frappe where required
  • Supporting manufacturing, stock, procurement and inventory workflows
  • Building reports, dashboards and workflows
  • Migrating and validating existing data
  • Integrating ERPNext with other business systems
  • Supporting the Linux-based self-hosted environment
  • Working directly with internal stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Supporting training, go-live and ongoing improvements

What we’re looking for

We are particularly interested in people who have:

  • Hands-on experience implementing ERPNext or Frappe into a live business
  • Experience customising ERPNext rather than only supporting it
  • Python/Frappe development experience
  • Good understanding of Linux environments
  • Experience with manufacturing, stock, inventory, procurement or similar ERP processes
  • Strong ownership and communication skills

Experience with MariaDB, Redis, SQL, Xero integrations, BOM/MRP processes or PLM environments would also be useful.

Why join?

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a new ERPNext environment from the beginning rather than inherit an established system.

You will have significant freedom to shape how ERPNext is used across the business and will work closely with a small technical team at a stage where processes and systems are still being built.

Salary: Up to £55,000
