We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ESOL Lecturer to join our friendly and supportive team at a well-established college near Wisbech. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or industry professional who is passionate about helping learners develop their English language skills and achieve their personal, educational and employment goals.
Working on a part-time basis, you will deliver engaging and inclusive ESOL lessons to learners from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, creating a positive learning environment that encourages confidence, progression and success.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and deliver high-quality ESOL teaching across a range of levels.
· Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback.
· Monitor attendance, achievement and learner engagement.
· Develop schemes of work and learning resources to meet awarding body requirements.
· Support learners in developing English language skills for everyday life, further study and employment.
· Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
· Foster an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
· A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
· A specialist ESOL qualification or relevant experience teaching ESOL learners.
· Experience of delivering engaging lessons within a further education, adult learning or community setting.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
· The ability to motivate and inspire learners of varying abilities and backgrounds.
