Location: Ascot
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Private Estate Gardener to join a professional grounds team at a prestigious private estate in Ascot.

Working as part of an established team of around 10 gardeners, you will play an important role in maintaining the estate grounds to an exceptionally high standard.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate gardener looking for a long-term, permanent position within a beautiful and professionally maintained private estate.

The Role

As a Private Estate Gardener, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining lawns, borders, beds and planted areas to a high standard
• Grass cutting, edging and general lawn care
• Hedge cutting and shrub maintenance
• Weeding, planting and seasonal garden maintenance
• Pruning and general horticultural duties
• Maintaining formal and ornamental garden areas
• Using a range of professional gardening tools and equipment
• Keeping pathways and outdoor areas clean, tidy and well presented
• Working closely with the wider team to maintain the estate's high standards
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is passionate about horticulture and takes pride in their work.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in professional gardening or grounds maintenance
• Experience working within a private estate, large garden, park or high-end horticultural environment is desirable
• Good knowledge of general gardening and horticultural practices
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation
• A reliable, hardworking and professional approach
• The ability to work well as part of a large gardening team
• The ability to work independently and use initiative
• A genuine passion for gardening and maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces

A driving licence is not required for this position.
