Are you an Chartered Surveyor looking for a role that offers variety, responsibility and exposure to a diverse property portfolio?
Our client is looking for an experienced Chartered Surveyor to join a multidisciplinary property and estates team in Norwich, providing professional property advice across a wide range of assets and projects.
You will work across areas including estate management, valuations, landlord & tenant matters, acquisitions and disposals, development opportunities and strategic asset management, supporting clients across the public sector.
This is a role where no two instructions are quite the same. You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload, work directly with clients and stakeholders, and use your commercial and professional judgement to solve complex property challenges.
Working alongside specialists across surveying, property, architecture, engineering and project management, you'll be part of a collaborative environment with exposure to a broad range of property and built-environment projects.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-quality professional surveying and estates advice to clients.
- Manage a varied caseload of property and estate management instructions.
- Undertake valuations and prepare professional reports where required.
- Lead negotiations with landlords, tenants, agents and other stakeholders.
- Advise on acquisitions, disposals, leases and other property transactions.
- Support strategic asset management and property portfolio planning.
- Provide commercially sound advice while considering wider client and public-sector objectives.
- Build strong and trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including property, building surveying, project management, architecture and engineering professionals.
- Identify property risks, opportunities and potential improvements.
- Deliver work to a high professional standard, within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Contribute to the development of existing client relationships and new opportunities.
- MRICS / Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in surveying, property, estates or a related discipline.
- Strong professional surveying experience.
- Experience across one or more of estate management, valuation, landlord & tenant, property transactions or strategic asset management.
- Strong knowledge of relevant property legislation and professional practice.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and report-writing skills.
- Ability to provide clear, commercially focused professional advice.
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple instructions and work independently.
- Working with local authorities or other public-sector organisations.
- Managing large or complex property portfolios.
- CPO, land acquisition or compensation work.
- Development and regeneration projects.
- Public-sector estate strategy and asset management.
