Our client, a well-established Main Contractor based in Leicestershire, is going through a period of significant growth — having secured over £80m of new work in the last six weeks alone, with fresh tenders coming in thick and fast. As a result, they're looking to strengthen their Pre-Construction Team with the addition of an experienced Estimator.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong forward order book and genuine career progression on offer, working across a varied mix of Industrial & Logistics, Sports & Leisure, and Mixed Use schemes.

Estimator roles & responsibilities:
  • Production of tender Bills of Quantities and pricing documents, pricing from first principles
  • Analysis of subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Producing scopes of works for design teams and specialist consultants on design and build projects
  • Value engineering ideas and solutions to meet client budgets
  • Production of final bid documents and quality submissions
  • Working across a range of contract types including D&B, Bills of Quantities, and NEC
  • Managing the tender supplier/subcontractor database
  • Detailed appraisal of incoming tenders and risk registers presented to the board
Estimator experience required:
  • Solid background as an Estimator with a Main Contractor, ideally within the East Midlands region
  • Track record pricing projects across a range of values, from circa £5m up to £15m
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment, managing multiple live tenders at once
  • Strong commercial acumen and confident presenting at tender interviews/settlements
  • Relevant construction qualification (HNC/degree or equivalent)
