Estimator
Our client is a growing construction and refurbishment contractor delivering projects across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, healthcare and hospitality. They are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll play a key role in securing new business and preparing competitive tenders on a variety of construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate tender estimates
- Reviewing drawings and specifications
- Producing take-offs and bills of quantities
- Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor quotations
- Preparing tender submissions
- Identifying value engineering opportunities
- Attending tender meetings
- Liaising with clients and consultants
- Managing multiple tenders simultaneously
- Supporting pre-construction activities
- Maintaining estimating databases
- Assisting with bid strategy
- Previous estimating experience within main contracting
- Experience pricing refurbishment and new build projects
- Strong numerical ability
- Good commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Full UK driving licence
