We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join an established demolition and strip-out contractor based in Nottingham.

The company operates nationwide, with the majority of its work across the Midlands, delivering projects ranging from small works through to approximately £1m.

The Role

• Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for demolition and strip-out projects
• Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and scopes of work
• Produce detailed take-offs and pricing
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Assess project risks, costs and requirements
• Assist with tender submissions and commercial negotiations
• Work across industrial, commercial and residential projects
• Predominantly deal with internal strip-outs and demolition works
• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
• Support the business in securing new work
• Projects typically range from £1,000 to £1m
• Nationwide operations, with a strong Midlands focus
• Work closely with the operational team to ensure accurate project handovers

Requirements

• Previous estimating experience within demolition is highly desirable
• Experience within strip-out, enabling works or a related construction sector will be considered
• Strong understanding of demolition methodologies and associated costs
• Ability to interpret drawings and project specifications
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
• Ideally based within commuting distance of Nottingham

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
