Estimator

An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its manufacturing team based in Leeds.

Working within a specialist manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for bespoke engineering projects, supporting customers from initial enquiry through to quotation.

The Role

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations from drawings, specifications and customer enquiries.
• Liaise with engineering, production and commercial teams to develop accurate pricing.
• Source and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Review technical information and identify cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain estimating records and ensure quotations are submitted within agreed timescales.
• Support the handover of successful projects to the manufacturing team.

About You

• Previous estimating experience within engineering, manufacturing, fabrication or a similar technical environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
