Estimator - Commercial HVAC, M&E & Heat Pumps
Leeds | Contract (Outside IR35) OR Permanent - Hybrid
Our client, a well-established Building Services contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator to support the delivery of commercial and industrial HVAC, Heat Pumps, M&E, and low-carbon heating projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Price labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor packages
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and project teams
- Support project handovers and pre-construction activities
Requirements
Proven estimating experience within Commercial HVAC and M&E projects
Knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps and low-carbon heating systems
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
Strong commercial awareness and tendering experience
Proficient in Excel and estimating software
Desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar
- Knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts
- Building Services or HVAC contracting background
- CSCS Card
