I am currently working with a specialist joinery contractor that designs, manufactures and installs bespoke joinery packages for high-end commercial, residential and hospitality projects. Known for delivering exceptional quality, the company has built long-standing relationships with many of the industry's leading contractors and clients.
About the Role
This is a hands-on estimating role where you will be involved from initial enquiry through to project award, working closely with designers, project managers and the manufacturing team to ensure tenders are both competitive and commercially viable.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pricing bespoke joinery and specialist carpentry packages.
- Reviewing design information and identifying potential cost risks.
- Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain accurate material costs.
- Working closely with the design team to develop practical solutions.
- Preparing detailed tender submissions and cost breakdowns.
- Attending tender review meetings with senior management.
- Supporting value engineering exercises where required.
- Contributing to business development opportunities and repeat business relationships.
