Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their specialist industrial services team based in Romsey. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction who enjoys preparing accurate quotations, supporting tender submissions and working closely with clients to secure new business. Full training will be provided to develop your knowledge of the company's specialist services.

What you will be doing

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations and tender documentation for a wide range of projects.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and client requirements to understand project scope and produce competitive commercial submissions.
• Carrying out site visits and surveys where required to assess project requirements and gather information for accurate pricing.
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to obtain quotations, compare costs and support successful project delivery.
• Maintaining accurate project information within the CRM system, tracking Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and following up with prospective clients after submissions.

Experience required

• Proven experience in an Estimator or similar commercial role within a construction or engineering environment.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate cost estimates.
• Experience interpreting construction drawings, engineering plans and project specifications.
• Good understanding of construction processes and project delivery, with experience carrying out site surveys.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience using CRM systems would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to operational sites when required.

Salary: £37,614–£49,239 depending on experience

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
