Lead Estimator – Engineering & Construction

An established Irish engineering and built-environment business is looking to appoint an experienced Lead Estimator to join its Dublin team.
This is a key role within the pre-construction function, taking ownership of significant tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission and handover. Projects span Data Centres, Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences, Industrial, Commercial and Energy environments.
The Role
- Manage and prepare detailed, commercially robust tenders.
- Review drawings, specifications and scope requirements.
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify commercial risks, exclusions and opportunities.
- Lead tender reviews and work closely with engineering and delivery teams.
- Support and mentor junior estimators.
About You
You’ll have strong Mechanical and/or Electrical estimating experience, ideally gained within a main contractor, MEP contractor or engineering services environment. You should be comfortable managing sizeable tenders independently, with strong knowledge of measurement, pricing, subcontractor engagement and commercial analysis.
