Estimator

Location: Stoke-on-Trent (ST7)
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator to support their manufacturing operations by delivering accurate cost analysis, product pricing, and quotation activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product data, supporting new product introductions, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate costings for new and existing products.
• Generate quotations for both bespoke and standard products.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Create and maintain product codes within the ERP system.
• Maintain material, labour, and supplier cost databases.
• Update product pricing and margin calculations.
• Analyse engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and manufacturing efficiencies.
• Collaborate with Designers to support Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
• Maintain the accuracy of product and commercial data within the ERP system.

Requirements

• Previous experience in estimating, costing, or manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
