Estimator

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join a leading fit-out and refurbishment contractor on a freelance basis in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with a proven track record in commercial fit-out, refurbishment and interiors projects to support a busy pre-construction team during a period of sustained growth and project wins.

Working closely with Bid Managers, Pre-Construction Managers, Design Teams and Supply Chain Partners, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates across a range of projects, helping to secure new business opportunities and support the company's continued success.

The role would suit an Estimator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong commercial awareness and is comfortable managing multiple tenders simultaneously.

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and employer's requirements.
• Produce take-offs and quantify materials, labour and subcontract packages.
• Obtain and analyse quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions.
• Work closely with pre-construction, design and operational teams to develop competitive bid strategies.
• Attend tender review meetings and contribute to bid submissions.
• Assess project risks and opportunities during the estimating process.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets and tender adjudication documents.
• Support negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors where required.
• Maintain strong relationships with the supply chain and key project stakeholders.

• Proven experience working as an Estimator within the fit-out, refurbishment or interiors sector.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction and fit-out projects.
• Experience pricing projects from first principles and analysing subcontractor returns.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Experience working on projects within commercial office, workplace, education, healthcare or mixed-use sectors would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software packages.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
