Estimator/Senior Estimator

Our Civil Engineering client operates throughout the UK delivering integrated solutions for projects in Water, Utilities, Rail, Highway’s and Energy.

Their Civils division operates within the water industry delivering non-infrastructure projects for Tier1 main contractors. Due to continuous growth, they are looking for an Estimator/Senior Estimator to join their bid team.

You will work on a flexible hybrid basis from their Nuneaton office.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement, commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process.
• Assist in developing tender strategies and compiling submission documentation.
• Demonstrate the ability to understand complex engineering drawings/ designs to develop methodology/ sequencing proposals with the wider tender team.
• Support the Commercial Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and tender submissions.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Review project risks and opportunities during the tender process.

Experience required:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within construction or civil engineering.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction costing.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies.
