Duration: 2 years
A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking for a Civils Estimator to join its team on a major UK airport framework. This is a 2 year contract on a long-term capital programme of civils and infrastructure works.
The role
- Prepare accurate estimates and tenders for civils packages
- Build up rates from first principles, using supplier and subcontractor quotes
- Review drawings, specifications and bills of quantities
- Run subcontractor enquiries and tender comparisons
- Work with planners, commercial and delivery teams to price buildable, deliverable solutions
- Support change control, variations and cost forecasting through the contract
About you
- Proven estimating experience in civils or infrastructure
- Experience in a live operational environment (airports, rail or highways) is desirable
- Strong knowledge of estimating software and rate build-ups
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline preferred
