European Industrialisation Manager

At Altro, we're proud to be a leading manufacturer of high performance flooring and wall cladding solutions. We're now looking for an experienced and people-focused European Industrialisation Manager to help shape how our products move from technical development into successful, reliable manufacturing across our European operations in the UK and Germany.

This is a senior technical leadership role with responsibility for building manufacturing capability, improving production processes, supporting sustainability initiatives and leading a skilled team. This is a hybrid role where you will be in the Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire Head Office 3 days a week and there will be regular travel to our Altro Germany facilty in Dessau.

You'll lead a team of technical specialists and work closely with colleagues across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Sustainability and Product Development to solve problems, improve processes and support Altro's future growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Introducing new products into manufacturing
• Improving manufacturing processes
• Supporting sustainability and waste reduction
• Working across teams and external partners
• Leading and developing people

What we are looking for...

We're looking for someone with a strong background in manufacturing, industrialisation, process improvement or technical engineering, who enjoys working across teams and developing people.

You'll ideally have:

• A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in manufacturing, process development, industrialisation or product scale-up.
• Experience taking products, materials or processes from development into operational production.
• Experience leading and developing technical or engineering teams.
• A strong track record of problem solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• The ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• A practical, collaborative and delivery-focused approach.
