Electrician – Renewables & EV Charging
Location: Devon
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join an established and growing renewable energy business.
The successful candidate will work across a range of renewable energy and low-carbon electrical projects, with a particular focus on EV charging installations, alongside solar PV, battery storage and associated electrical works.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician looking to build a long-term career within the rapidly expanding renewables sector, working on a varied portfolio of domestic and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test and commission EV charging points across domestic and commercial properties.
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and remedial works.
- Install and connect electrical systems
- Complete consumer unit upgrades, distribution board work and associated electrical installations.
- Carry out inspection and testing of completed installations.
- Diagnose faults and undertake electrical remedial works where required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and in accordance with current electrical regulations.
- Complete electrical certification and installation documentation accurately.
- Liaise professionally with customers, clients and other members of the installation team.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, health & safety and customer service.
- Travel to various project locations as required.
Essential Requirements
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – BS 7671.
- Proven experience carrying out electrical installation work.
- Experience with EV charge-point installations.
- Good understanding of inspection, testing and fault finding.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider installation team.
- Professional approach when dealing with customers and clients.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
- EV Charging qualification / manufacturer-specific EV training.
- 2391 Inspection & Testing.
