A fantastic opportunity for an Events & Construction Manager has arisen to join a leading global sports and entertainment organisation delivering world-class international events across iconic venues worldwide. Working within a fast-paced operational environment, you will take ownership of complex event site delivery, ensuring the safe, efficient and successful construction, operation and deconstruction of temporary infrastructure and facilities at major global events.
This role focuses on delivering end-to-end site management across a diverse portfolio of international events, coordinating multiple contractors, stakeholders and operational teams to ensure all site elements are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest safety standards.

Salary - £80,000-£100,000 + benefits
Key responsibilities of the Events & Construction Manager role and not be limited to:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex event sites from planning and construction through to live operations and de-rig activities.
- Manage and coordinate all on-site contractors, suppliers and delivery teams involved in build, operational and dismantling phases.
- Ensure all site elements are delivered in line with agreed budgets, delivery programmes and operational requirements.
- Act as the primary on-site authority across multiple disciplines, resolving logistical, scheduling and spatial conflicts.
- Oversee the successful delivery of temporary infrastructure including hospitality facilities, grandstands, media centres, retail units, technical facilities, team areas, docks and public amenities.
- Develop and manage detailed site sequencing, logistics and access plans to maximise delivery efficiency.
- Identify and manage critical path activities, minimising delays and mitigating project risks.
- Coordinate transitions between construction, live event operations and deconstruction phases.
- Maintain oversight of site functionality during live event delivery, responding to operational challenges and infrastructure issues in real time.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, to specification and fully compliant with health and safety requirements.
- Review RAMS, conduct site inspections and promote a strong safety-first culture across all contractors and stakeholders.
- Manage contractor performance, site access controls, inductions and workspace allocation throughout delivery.
- Lead post-event de-rig operations, site reinstatement activities and contractor demobilisation.
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing delivery performance and implementing lessons learned across future events.
Key skills and experience required for Events & Construction Manager and not limited to:
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction, infrastructure, event site or venue delivery projects.
- Strong track record overseeing complex, multi-contractor operational environments.
- Significant experience developing and managing project programmes, schedules and delivery plans.
- Demonstrable expertise in site logistics, sequencing and critical path management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and coordinate multiple operational disciplines.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities within fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Solid understanding of construction health and safety legislation, RAMS and site compliance requirements.
- Experience managing temporary event infrastructure, venues, exhibitions, sporting events or live event environments would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- SMSTS qualified.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively internationally throughout the year.
