This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive events professional to take ownership of a varied programme of events, from initial planning and delegate communications through to on-site delivery and post-event reporting. You will work closely with colleagues, members, speakers, committees, suppliers and external partners to ensure every event is delivered smoothly and professionally.
Summary of the role
As Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination and administration of a diverse events programme.
You will manage logistics, registrations, communications, suppliers and event materials, ensuring a high-quality experience for attendees and speakers.
Alongside events, you will provide wider administrative and membership support, playing an important role within a collaborative team.

Job Title: Events Coordinator
Salary: £30,000
Contract: Permanent
Location: London
Working Pattern: Full-time, hybrid 2 days in the office, must be able to travel nationally and internationally for events
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the overall delivery of a varied events programme, managing all logistical requirements from planning through to completion.
- Liaise with speakers and relevant committees and groups to coordinate event subjects, dates, speakers and key information.
- Manage event registrations and respond to delegate queries, ensuring a professional and positive experience.
- Coordinate event communications, marketing and advertising using databases, websites and email marketing platforms.
- Prepare delegate packs, presentations, name badges and other materials required for events.
- Manage relationships with event suppliers, including venues, AV, catering and other event support providers.
- Provide on-site support at events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and professionally.
- Complete post-event administration and reporting, including attendee lists, feedback, recordings and budget information.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider Membership Team and other areas of the organisation as required.
- Assist with general membership queries, including membership categories, applications, subscription payments and online services.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with members, colleagues, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Work flexibly across the organisation and contribute to the delivery of wider organisational objectives.
Person specification
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities in a busy environment. You will ideally have experience working within a membership organisation, professional body or similar environment, although a strong events or coordination background will also be considered.
You will bring:
- Previous experience working within a membership team or similar organisation.
- Experience coordinating events or managing event-related administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events and competing deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to check information carefully and identify errors.
- A structured and methodical approach, with the ability to create order and keep projects moving.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to take ownership and get things done.
- The ability to use your own initiative and take a solution-focused approach to challenges.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and solutions-focused when working under pressure or when plans change.
- A curious and enthusiastic approach, with a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
