Key responsibilities
Events coordination
- Plan and coordinate conferences, seminars, workshops, webinars and other events, from initial arrangements through to delivery and evaluation.
- Manage event logistics, registration, speaker liaison, attendee communications and supporting materials.
- Support event budgets, supplier arrangements, risk assessments, accessibility requirements and health and safety planning.
- Gather feedback and identify improvements for future events.
Publicity and communications
- Develop and coordinate promotional activities across relevant channels, including the website, newsletters, email and social media.
- Write and edit event announcements, programmes, speaker biographies and other communications.
- Maintain consistent branding and accurate information across promotional materials.
- Identify opportunities to increase awareness, participation and engagement.
Stakeholder engagement and administration
- Build effective working relationships with members, speakers, suppliers, partners and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate event records, contact lists, budgets and relevant documentation.
- Monitor engagement and attendance, prepare reports and use feedback to inform future activities.
- Coordinate competing priorities, communicate progress and support wider organisational activities as required.
Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, including managing deadlines and competing priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience coordinating events or similar activities.
- Experience producing communications or promotional content.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Confidence using digital tools, online meeting platforms and standard office software.
- A practical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience with event registration systems, email marketing, social media scheduling, budget monitoring or performance reporting would be beneficial.
A relevant qualification in events, marketing, communications, business administration or a related field is desirable, but equivalent practical experience and transferable skills will be equally valued.
An understanding of accessibility, data protection and health and safety in event planning is also desirable.
Working arrangements
This is a fully remote role based in the UK, involving online collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. Occasional travel and work outside standard office hours may be required to support events. Travel arrangements and any associated expenses will be confirmed as part of the employment terms.
Salary, contractual arrangements, working hours, annual leave and benefits will be confirmed during recruitment.
