Are you passionate about empowering young people with additional needs to achieve greater independence and reach their full potential?
We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Evolve Key Worker to join our Inclusive Learning team. This rewarding role involves supporting young people aged 16–25 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them develop the confidence, independence and skills they need to succeed in education, employment and everyday life.
This position will be required to work 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, which is an actual salary of £21,499 - £25,308.
What you'll do:- Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners with EHCPs and complex additional needs.
- Help learners achieve their RARPA targets, qualifications and EHCP outcomes.
- Deliver travel training and develop learners' independent living skills where appropriate.
- Support learners in English, maths and vocational learning, encouraging engagement and progression.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
- Liaise with curriculum staff, parents, employers and external agencies to ensure coordinated learner support.
- Carry out risk assessments, maintain accurate records and monitor learner progress.
- Support learners in work placements by working with employers to identify suitable opportunities.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and promote a safe learning environment.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the Evolve programme.
- A Level 2 qualification in English, Maths and ICT.
- A recognised Level 3 qualification in youth work, mentoring, community work, guidance or a related field, or significant relevant experience.
- Experience supporting young people with SEND, learning difficulties, disabilities or social, emotional and mental health needs.
- An understanding of EHCPs, target setting and monitoring learner progress.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to motivate, encourage and advocate for young people.
- A calm, resilient and empathetic approach with the ability to respond positively to challenging situations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and delivering outstanding support for learners.
