Examinations Manager
Salary: £32,140 - £35,035 FTE (£31,891 - £34,764 pro rata)
Hours: 37 hours per week, 44 weeks per year
A high-performing secondary school is seeking an experienced and organised Examinations Manager to oversee all aspects of internal and external examinations.
This is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth, accurate and compliant administration of the entire examination process, from entries and access arrangements through to results days and post-results services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the administration of all examinations.
- Ensure compliance with awarding body regulations and deadlines.
- Coordinate examination entries, timetables and candidate schedules.
- Organise examination venues, seating plans and resources.
- Recruit, train and manage examination invigilators.
- Work closely with SEND teams to coordinate access arrangements.
- Liaise with awarding organisations and external agencies.
- Coordinate results days and post-results services.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data security.
- Line manage an Examinations & Administrative Assistant.
- Support the continuous improvement of examinations processes and systems.
Requirements
- Previous experience in examinations administration, ideally within a school setting.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of examination regulations and procedures.
