West Midlands Based, Full time, Permanent, Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH),Salary £40-45k
Our client is a fast-scaling corporate business and Corporate is the engine room of this firm and a Head of Department whose diary doesn't stop moving. They need an EA who can operate at deal pace, not office pace.
This exceptionally busy role will entail:
- Running a diary built around deal timetables, signings, completions, and client calls that move (and move again) with no notice
- Coordinating completion day logistics: documents, signatories, funds, and juggling ever changing priorities
- Managing the flow of engagement letters, conflict checks, and matter opening so new instructions don't sit waiting on admin
- Liaising directly with clients, GCs, and their PAs/EAs and often you are their first point of contact, so tone and judgement matter
- Coordinating with the team, associates, paralegals, trainees to keep completion checklists on track
- Building and maintaining client relationships alongside the Head of Corporate: BD trips, client entertaining, roadshows, panel reviews
- Expense and billing support , disbursements, invoice queries chased before they become a problem
- Travel coordination that can flip at short notice when a deal calls a partner to London, or a client wants them on-site tomorrow
- Being trusted with commercially sensitive, market-moving information
Applicants MUST have:
- Genuine EA experience supporting at Head of Department / senior partner level, ideally in corporate, M&A, banking, or another transactional practice
- Comfortable with ambiguity and last-minute change
- The judgement to triage what needs the partner's attention now versus what can wait, without being told
- Client-facing experience
