Executive Headteacher - The Role:


As Executive Headteacher, you will provide strategic leadership across two primary schools: Whaplode Church of England Primary School and Weston St Mary Church of England Primary School. You will work collaboratively within the Trust, supporting an ethos of integrity, compassion and excellence. You will hold overall accountability for direction, standards, and quality whilst maximising skills and resources across both schools. The role may include supporting other Trust schools on projects as directed by Trust Executive Leadership.


Executive Headteacher - Key Responsibilities:


- Embed the Trust vision across both schools, working with Academy Committees to create local visions consistent with Trust values

- Strategically lead curriculum development and teaching and learning to ensure vibrant, locally relevant engagement that prepares pupils for secondary education and beyond

- Provide inspirational leadership that builds leadership capacity and develops future leaders at all levels

- Manage strategic finances, resource deployment and workforce planning across both schools to drive improvement and provide value for money

- Establish and monitor effective approaches to learning, set stretching targets, tackle underperformance and robustly monitor pupil achievement using data

- Lead safeguarding as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the highest standards of child protection and statutory compliance across both schools

- Foster strong collaboration within the Trust and wider community, develop positive strategies to challenge prejudice and promote the academic, spiritual, moral, social and emotional wellbeing of pupils and families

- Ensure ongoing development of organisational structures supporting effective operations and prepare focused School Development Plans and accurate School Self Evaluations


Executive Headteacher - You:


- Qualified Teacher with degree or equivalent qualification and National Professional Qualification for Headship or equivalent leadership qualification

- Successful Headteacher with proven record of improving outcomes and measurable impact on pupil achievement and wellbeing

- Experience of strategic leadership across multiple schools or educational settings and working within Academy Trusts or multi-school organisations

- Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment, teaching and learning strategies, data analysis and performance information

- Knowledge of school finance, resource management, governance and accountability within academy trusts

- Understanding of Church of England education and Christian distinctiveness, with commitment to the Trust's vision, values and ethos

- Demonstrates integrity, honesty and professionalism; leads by example with high expectations for self and others

- Clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children, with thorough knowledge of statutory safeguarding requirements and safer recruitment

- Passionate about achieving best outcomes for every child and committed to partnership working and system leadership

- Evidence of substantial and sustained professional development relevant to Headship; National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership or equivalent desirable
