Executive Office Manager & Strategic Projects Lead

Are you used to working closely with senior leaders and keeping important projects moving?
We’re looking for an experienced CEO Office Business Manager & Strategic Projects Lead to work alongside the Chief Executive and senior leadership team within a large education organisation.
It’s a varied role with plenty of responsibility. You’ll be close to the decisions that shape the organisation, helping the CEO and senior team turn plans into action. You’ll also take the lead on key projects, keep track of progress and make sure priorities don’t lose momentum.
Some of your responsibilities will include;
- Working closely with the CEO and providing day-to-day business and strategic support
- Leading and coordinating projects from initial planning through to delivery
- Creating straightforward project plans, dashboards and trackers
- Keeping an eye on progress across several projects and making sure actions are followed through
- Supporting change and improvement projects across the organisation
- Preparing reports, briefings, presentations and other documents for senior leaders
- Coordinating leadership meetings, governance activity and executive planning
- Building good working relationships with senior leaders, governors and external partners
You’ll be organised, confident and comfortable working with senior people. You’ll also need to be someone who can juggle several priorities without losing sight of the detail.
Ideally, you'll have;
- Experience working closely with a CEO, Principal, Executive Director or another senior leader
- A background in executive office management, business management, governance, programme management or strategic projects
- Experience managing complex projects involving different teams
- The confidence to build relationships and influence people at a senior level
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to stay calm and focused when priorities change
- Experience in Further Education, or a good understanding of the FE sector, would be a real advantage
- A project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or MSP would be useful, but isn't essential
