Location: Preston

Salary: £40-45,000

Daily Duties

  • Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction information using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Developing technical solutions from initial design through to construction
  • Preparing planning, Building Regulations, and tender information
  • Coordinating project information with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients
  • Supporting BIM coordination and maintaining accurate and consistent project information
  • Attending design meetings, client meetings, and site visits throughout project delivery
  • Assisting with the resolution of technical issues and developing practical construction solutions
  • Ensuring designs comply with current Building Regulations, relevant standards, and industry best practice
  • Working closely with internal and external project teams to deliver high-quality projects within agreed timescales

Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist with UK-based industry experience
  • HNC, HND, degree, or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology
  • Strong technical knowledge with experience producing detailed construction information
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience working within a BIM environment
  • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, and technical detailing
  • Experience working across various stages of the RIBA Plan of Work would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proactive and committed approach with a genuine interest in delivering high-quality technical design solutions
  • Working towards or holding CIAT accreditation would be advantageous
