Are you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people?

We are seeking an Outreach, Engagement & Intervention Worker to support secondary-aged students who are at risk of exclusion, disengagement from education, or facing social and emotional challenges. Working across schools in North East and Mid Essex, you will deliver targeted interventions, build positive relationships with pupils and families, and work alongside schools and external agencies to improve educational outcomes.



The Role

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to support students' social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Work closely with schools, parents and external agencies to improve engagement and reduce exclusions.
  • Develop tailored support strategies for young people with additional needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to multi-agency meetings.
  • Promote trauma-informed approaches and positive outcomes for every student.


About You

  • Experience working with secondary-aged young people in education, youth work, social care, alternative provision or a similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management, SEMH and trauma-informed practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
